Spaghetti Barese review by Tom
Outstanding barese sauce, meatballs and sausage. This was the best pasta dish I've had since returning from Italy. I did ask for rigatoni instead of spaghetti noodles. It complimented the dish perfectly. This dish is a 12/10 on my scale. Finally love this trattoria and the outside seating creates a very Mediterranean feel.

Absolutely authentic and delicious! Most restaurants confuse vodka sauce and tomato cream- NOT Sapori! Completely hit the right spot along with some added shrimp & grilled chicken that tasted fresh off the bbq pit. I'm hooked 💯

Great sized portion! This lasagna was perfect and cooked to perfection. Ordered this during a winter night out and have been thinking about it since. Great atmosphere as well. Perfect place for Italian food as well as drinks! Cant wait to come back and try more.

The Bucatini Carbonara at Sapori Trattoria is one of the best I've ever had!! The sauce was perfectly emulsified, bacon was crispy, and flavor was bold which is sometimes lacking in a carbonara. A must order dish every time!

Incredible dish. Probably the best short rib I've ever had. I love other dishes at Sappori too but it's hard to get myself to order anything else.

Incredible! The eggplant is tender and easy to cut through. They add salt flakes that really balance out the whole dish along with the fresh basil. One of the best eggplant parms I've ever tried!

We got the whipped ricotta as an appetizer to start. It was so yummy. The bread was charred but still soft. The ricotta was so creamy and the honey was the perfect sweet touch. We will be getting again next time we go!

While thoroughly impressed by the pasta & dessert, my table walked away talking about the clam appetizer at Sapori Trattoria. Served in a white wine sauce with a side of grilled bread, the fresh, savory clams were a highlight of the meal. Accompanied by calabrian chilis and pancetta, this aromatic appetizer made our first trip here special.

Probably the best pasta I've had in all of chicago. The sauce was so flavorful, the portions were HUGE, and it was all I thought about for the next week.
